Celebrate Emily Dickinson's birthday with Kore Press, the fabulous BRT partners and the beautiful public at December's Second Saturday, Downtown. The Hotel Congress Performance Party includes selections from your favorite Big Read performances plus new Dickinson inspired works by local musicians & other artists!

Interested? RSVP with $8 in advance today -- and receive a limited edition dessert fork hand engraved by artist Janet Miller! Pick up your fork with your cake at Etherton gallery, and bring it to Hotel Congress to get in the door at our Hotel Congress Performance Party.

29 local, national, and international artists respond to Dickinson's first lines. The exhibition is curated by Heather Green & Valerie Galloway for Kore Press and the Big Read.

Fridays from 3 - 6:30 p.m., Saturdays from 4 - 7 p.m., and by appointment -- call 520-327-2127.

2. Incredible Birthday Cake & Soundsculptress Vicki Brown on Strings
Etherton Gallery, 135 S. Sixth Ave, 7:30 p.m.
Vicki Brown wowed audiences with her artistic soundscaping at our Nov. 12 dance performance "If My Verse Is Alive ... " Brown will share her original compositions once more as we enjoy gourmet coconut cake inspired by Emily Dickinson's own 19th century recipe!

Emily Dickinson cake!
The bottom tier is Dickinson's black cake (adapted from her own recipe) covered in marzipan and fondant; the upper two tiers are coconut cake filled with white chocolate ganache and covered in fondant.
Cake will be served at 7:30. We recommend leaving of the gallery by 8:15 to make it to the performance party.
